• Parent Governor Election

  We have four Parent Governor positions on our Governing Board, with one vacant position we need to elect a new Parent Governor.  Parents of all children currently at Oakfield are eligible for nomination as Parent Governor.  The elected Parent Governor will serve for four years from the date of their election. Letters were sent out to all families on Tuesday 10th January 2017. Nominations for the position must be received by noon on Tuesday 24th January 2017.

  Result of Parent Governor Election

  24th November 2016

  Oakfield First School

   

  Trinity Brooke -  59 votes

  James Wareing -  52 votes

  Martin Gibbons -  105 votes

   

  I declare Martin Gibbons and Trinity Brooke to have won this election.  They will both serve as Parent Governors from 24^th November 2016 to 23^rd November 2020.

• Christingle Service - CANCELLED

  Please note that, unfortunately, the Christingle Service which was on the school calendar scheduled for Sunday 27th November 2016 (TBC) has been CANCELLED.

• November Fair

  The November Fair was a huge success raising approximately £1,100.  This will be used to fund Christmas activities for the children.

  

• Parent Governor Election Ballot

  Ballot papers were sent home to all parents of children at Oakfield this afternoon. Each parent/career has the right to vote for two candidates. Green ballot papers must be returned to the school office in a sealed envelope marked 'Parent Elections' by 12noon on Thursday 24th November 2016.

Letters were sent out to all Parents on Monday 17th October.

• Book Buzz Drop in Sessions

  On Tuesday 18th October we are having a Literacy day and will be joined by the Windsor Library Service. The day includes two information sessions for parents on  how to engage your child with books. The sessions will be held in the Training Room from 8.50am to 9.10am and 3.20pm - 3.40pm.
