Sports Day and Swimming
Tue 21 Jun 2016At last, we have had signs of sunshine so as it stands Sports Day is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. It is of course still weather dependant on the day so we will confirm by 10am tomorrow via the school website. If the weather halts proceedings tomorrow then we will have an ‘in house’ Sports Day before the end of term.
In other sporting news, as you may have gathered we have had a number of ‘challenges’ with our swimming pool. These issues were completely unavoidable. We have the pump, filter system and heater regular serviced and Mr Linton does a fantastic job of maintaining the pool but these problems could not have been foreseen. I appreciate that it is frustrating for you and disappointing for the children so we will try to fit as many replacement sessions in but we are running out of term! We hope to have the pool up and running on Thursday but will of course keep you up to speed and also inform you of any replacement sessions we have managed to squeeze in.
Thank you for your patience.

I Love Writing
Fri 27 May 2016I was so impressed that I thought two pieces of writing about their trip to Odds Farm on Tuesday by Foundation children, Daniela and Lily, should be shared and celebrated. They should both be very proud of their work. -
The Flower Corgi
Fri 27 May 2016Yesterday, with the help of Mrs Turrall and Mrs Whittingham, six Oakfield pupils created the school's flower entry to St Andrew's Church (Clewer) Flower Festival, celebrating the Queen's 90th Birthday. The school's flower arrangement along with the Church's other entries can be viewed during the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 4th/5th June. Most importantly, can you guess what it is?
