Charging and Remissions Policy

It is the policy of our Governing Body that no child is ever excluded from any activity because their parents cannot afford to pay. We do, however, rely on our parents who can afford to pay to make relevant contributions for activities above and beyond the main curriculum. Such activities include:

  • workshops, theatre groups, music groups provided during curriculum time
  • visits from authors, illustrators, scientists and other experts during curriculum time
  • swimming in the summer term (the school has its own pool but we provide swimming tuition from a qualified coach)

These are covered by a voluntary contribution made annually to cover all costs.

Parents also contribute towards the cost of visits to places of interest within school time including the Year 4 residential field trip to the Isle of Wight.

All payments for these curriculum enrichment activities may be made via cash, cheque or by credit or debit card using our online payment facilities.
