Forest School Information & Timetable
Dear Parents and Carers,
This year, we are pleased to continue our partnership with ‘Bushy Tail Tribe’, an external Forest School provider.
Forest School is a well-regarded approach to learning that enables children to develop confidence, independence, resilience, and a deeper connection with the natural world. It provides valuable opportunities for growth and learning outside of the classroom environment, and we are very proud and extremely excited to be able to offer this provision to all of our pupils. It was hugely successful last year, supporting both academic and personal development.
Bushy Tail Tribe will join us on a weekly basis and provide forest school in the wooded area within the grounds of Oakfield. These sessions will be for all pupils from Reception to Year 4 over the course of the academic year. Your child’s three sessions are set out on the attached schedule and will also be added to our school calendar.
The sessions will take place every Tuesday and will begin next Tuesday 15th September. Each session will last approximately 2 hours, with half of the class attending in the morning and the other half in the afternoon. Your child’s forest school session will take place over 3 consecutive weeks, so that they can build upon and further enhance their learning experiences. Please click on the attached link below for details of what your child will need to bring on their Forest School days.
What to bring | Bushy Tail Tribe
Please note, they do not require a packed lunch, and will return to their class for lunch as usual.
The price of all 3 sessions is £35 per child. We require consent to enable your child to join the sessions. This will be added to your child’s Arbor account. Please ensure this is completed prior to your child’s sessions commencing.
Payment for these sessions will be made on ScoPay. As always, whilst this is a voluntary contribution, should the school not receive enough funds, we will have to review the viability of continuing this enrichment.
We request that outstanding contributions are made at the end of the term in which your child has had their sessions.
If you wish to discuss this further or require support with making a payment, please do not hesitate to speak with either myself or a member of the Office Team.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Mrs Morriss
