  Everyone had a great day at the Donkey Sanctuary in the morning & at Monkey Haven in the afternoon.  After dinner they all went down to the beach to make sandcastles - see below for pictures of the day's adventures and fabulous sand creations!

  Our Year 4s (& staff) have successfully landed on the IOW!  On arrival they enjoyed a picnic lunch and then it was time for the beach.  They have settled in to the hotel and all are happy.  Here are a few photos from their first day...check out our Twitter account @oakfield1st_sch for more updates!

• A Special Visit from a Chelsea Pensioner

  Year 3 were very lucky to have a special visit from a Chelsea Pensioner this week, who told them interesting stories about his adventures, and even showed them a magic trick or two! The children were fascinated, and particularly enjoyed listening to him play his bagpipes!
