Internet Safety
Fri 17 Nov 2017Paul Hay, an advisor on internet safety, spent the entire day with us earlier this week, working with our children on how to be safe on line.
Internet safety is not just about which parental controls are switched on but is more concerned with behaviour on line. Paul really enjoyed working with the children and complimented them on their learning behaviour.
Further information can be found on our school website http://www.oakfieldfirstschool.org.uk/internet-safety/ including details of the presentation Paul delivered to the parents on Wednesday evening.
We have lots of copies of the digital parenting magazine available which are available to you in the school reception.

Growth Mindset
Tue 26 Sep 2017Having been introduced to the concept of ‘Growth Mindset’ at Oakfield this term, pupils have participated in a range of activities to learn more about it and have been encouraged to try and display a growth mindset in school (and at home). Our children are being taught how their brains work and how new connections are formed when we try new things and practise them, over and over.
Please find below a link to the growth mindset PDF for your information.
