Our Outdoor Learning Week


Despite the rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, we still managed to have a fantastic Outdoor Learning Week! We did everything from orienteering to poetry and map making to land art. Here are a few of the week’s highlights:

We began by thinking carefully about where we might find minibeasts, or invertebrates, in our school grounds. Afterwards, we designed our own creatures that would be able to survive and painted them:

On Thursday, we tried orienteering. We had to look carefully at a map of the school and locate flags. We had to stamp our score cards to show that we had found the correct flats. There was a lot of team work involved and we had to be resilient and keep on trying if we didn’t get it right the first time:
