Wow, our last full week before the summer holidays and what an exciting week it has been! We have had some excellent assemblies including piano and choir performances. It is lovely to hear how children are progressing in other areas of the school.
In Spheres Maths group, we have been designing our own mathematical games. The children have been very imaginative and used a variety of resources from our maths cupboard to develop interesting, challenging games. Board games are a great way to practise different Maths skills. Those of you who attended the Maths Curriculum Evenings will know that the Year 3 teachers have come up with many different ways of using a Snakes and Ladders board to practise different skills! Designing and creating a board game at home can be a fun and creative activity for the holidays.
Finally, on to Wednesday and our exciting trip to Legoland. When we reached the park, we split into two groups. Our group headed towards the Jolly Rocker and we went on a variety of rides. One of my favourite parts of the day was seeing the childrens’ artwork on the Hill Train. It was a lovely day and even the sun came out in the afternoon. Thank you to Mrs Sendorek, Mrs Hejsak and all the other members of staff who made this wonderful day possible!
