What a warm week we have had! Well done to all the children (and parents!) who have remembered their summer essentials- water bottles, sunhats and suncream.
We have been continuing with the story of Three Billy Goats Gruff and we have started thinking about our own stories. It has been lovely to see that some of the children have been acting out the story during breaktimes on the climbing frame bridge. I’ve seen some very scary trolls emerging from under the bridge!
On Wednesday, Windsor Girls’ School kindly invited us to watch a performance based on the Wizard of Oz. Year 3, along with Saplings, Beech class and Year 4, walked up after lunch. The girls were there to meet us and were very helpful! The perfomance was excellent and we were all enthralled by the singing and acting.
Throughout the week we have had an extra helper to support us in class. Thank you to Sam, from Windsor Boys’ School, who has been wonderful with the children and helping out around the classroom.
As of next week, we will be collected in the library books from this year. Please look under the beds and behind sofas to collect in as many books as possible!
