Welcome to Cherry!

5th July 2019
On Wednesday, we were lucky enough to go on a trip to the Look Out Centre. We have been learning about habitats and food chains in Science, and the first thing we did was to learn some more about them from our guide, Jim. He even taught us a song called “head, thorax, abdomen!” (sung to the tune of head, shoulders, knees and toes) to help us remember the different parts of an insect’s body.
Next, we went outside to catch some bugs. We found lots of wood ants and spiders.
The last thing we did in the morning was to explore the water and construction areas.
After lunch, we enjoyed the amazing adventure playground and came back inside to explore the rest of the indoor area. Our favourite parts included looking at the snakes and ants, trying to complete the different puzzles and folding paper in different ways.
We had a really fantastic day, as all of the photos show!
Library Day is: Friday
