Although we are have been rehearsing for the Christmas performance this week, we have still found time to fit in lots of other things into our week. We kicked the week off with our first Maestros concert. Despite the fact that we’ve only been learning our instruments for a few weeks, we impressed our peers and adults in the packed hall with our performances. It was also inspirational to hear the year 4 children play. We have learnt a lot since September!
We have also continued to learn about Ancient Greece. Many of us have now finished our shields, and they have made a striking display in our classroom. Here are some photographs of our finished work. Can you work out which god or goddess they represent?
As well as this, we had our termly opportunity to show how much our writing skills have improved. This time, we were asked to retell the story of Orpheus’ journey into the underworld. We all put a huge amount of effort into our writing, and it was fun to see how much we have improved since our first termly write when we were in Saplings! Here we are in action:
