We have jumped back into looking at another Kate Greenaway-nominated book this week: Jim’s Lion. Jim is a little boy in hospital who has some very strange dreams. We have enjoyed exploring the story and talking about what we think happens in the comic-strip sections that don’t have any words in them. Next week, we will continue to explore this story and write more about it.
Before half term, we did some artwork using watercolours and oil pastels based around the Promise (another Kate Greenaway book). You can see the results of our efforts here as they are now on the wall in Birch for everybody to admire:
During Environmental Week, we created our own invertebrates and thought about how they would be adapted to their habitat, avoid their predators and what they would eat. Here is some of our work.
In French, we have revised the colours and begun to learn how to count up to 30. We really enjoyed playing these games on the BBC. Do have a go at home!
