Week commencing 16th March
This week in Ash class we have been learning all about different people who help us. We have thought of lots of different jobs people do and talked about why those jobs are important.
In maths we have been learning about doubling. We have been doing lots of practical work to double amounts and have been working both independently and with a partner. We have also been talking about maths facts we know – we are getting so clever!
In literacy we have been busy working in our office and post office areas. We have made zig zag books and written speech bubbles for things people who help us might say.
We have done some peer massage this week to help us learn how to use our hands kindly and gently. This has also helped us to calm down after a busy lunchtime play!
Outside we have had brilliant fun making bubble snakes using recycled bottles and flannels. Mrs Godfrey made us one each and wrote our names on them. This way we could play safely without spreading germs – thank you Mrs Godfrey!
We will be learning about Easter. We will be learning the Easter story and beginning some Easter crafts. In maths we will be making repeating patterns using different shapes.
Please continue to read with us every night and help us spot those digraphs and tricky trigraphs!
Help us look out for different people in our community who help us. Talk to us about different jobs people do and why they are important.
Don’t forget to check back soon!
