We may be busy rehearsing for the upcoming Hexagon concert, but we have still been learning lots of new things in Birch this week.
During English, we have finished our persuasive writing and we hope to present Mrs Hull with our responses next week. Here are some quotes from our work:
“In Jamaica, we have crystal clear waters that will inspire you to teach your children how to swim better.”
“You can relax and do absolutely nothing!”
“So, you don’t need to worry about the cold weather, because we have warm weather all the time!”
“The sea is good and it will cool you down.”
In art, we’ve been refining our oil pastel skills and created some beautiful artwork. Here are some examples of our work:
Our science topic is forces. We learnt how to use newton meters last week, and we have been using these to investigate friction. The snow on Tuesday was an excellent opportunity for us to learn about what happens when there isn’t enough friction on a surface! We have recorded our ideas, and will look at the pattern in our results next week.
Mrs Walters and Mrs Blundell hope that you enjoyed the opportunity to look at your work with your parents. You have certainly all learnt a lot since September!
