Some children have had a very exciting week this week, performing as part of the Young Voices Choir at the O2. Mrs Walters and I were lucky enough to see this stunning performance with over 7000 children singing a variety of songs. It was a fantastic night and I was very proud of all who were involved. There were some very happy but sleepy faces the next day!
On Friday, Year 3 had our FACT day. We were exploring the question ‘Why do Christians read the Bible?’ It was a great day with lots of different activities. We heard lots of different stories from the Bible and studied these in many ways from writing a diary entry to retelling the story using dough to using a parachute to act out scenes. The children seemed to thoroughly enjoy this day especially using the parachute to retell the story of Jonah and the Whale. The O2 children recognised this story from some of their songs from the night before!
As a last note, please ensure your child reads and their Reading Record is signed and dated daily. Some children are regularly not reading and this does affect their progress in school. Thank you to those parents who encourage their children to read daily and write comments to let us know how they are getting on.
