The children in Cedar Class are settling well into their new class room and into the role of being top of the school in Year 4 - a very responsible position!
In the last two weeks we have been thinking about all the sets of rules there are and why we have so many. The countryside code, green cross code, the law of the country, rules of a campsite, swimming pool rules, brownie rules ... and our School Golden Rules. We've had a very mature discussion about the purpose of rules and the children came to the conclusion that rules in school have 4 functions:
1. To keep everybody safe
2. To keep everybody happy
3. To keep things fair.
4. To help us all learn.
