We have had a very busy few weeks in Maple looking at Traditional Tales. We have done activities relating to the stories of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Jack and the Beanstalk and The Little Red Hen. This week we have written letters of apology and thought about how we use speech bubbles. We have even written instructions for how to make bread hedgehogs! We had great fun making these and baking them at school. We hope you enjoyed tasting them at home!
In Maths we have been looking at shape and symmetry. Why don't you see how many symmetrical shapes and patterns you can see around your house? Maybe draw a picture or take a photo to bring in and show us! We have painted some beautiful symmetrical pictures by painting a design on one side of the symmetrical line and then folding the paper in half.
We have been working really hard in Maple and have really got the hang of how to be a Year 1!
Well done Maple class and keep up the good work!
