Daily updates on the Year 4's trip to the Isle of Wight will be available on the ticker tape (homepage), here in latest news and via Twitter.

Monday 8th May 2017

And they're off - full of excitement and anticipation our Year 4s left for their week long trip to the Isle of Wight this morning!

Yr4's have arrived safetly on the Isle of Wight after a good ferry crossing, up next a picnic and walk. Confirmation that they have arrived at the hotel is expected around 5.30pm and will be reported on the ticker tape.

Pictures to follow tomorrow.

Tuesday 9th May 2017

After a good nights sleep, all the children are up, dressed and enjoying a cooked breakfast before heading out to Amazon World.

After an exciting game of Bingo last night, the children went to bed tired but happy.

Wednesday 10th May 2017

They've all had a good nights sleep.  The sun is shining and they are putting on suncream before a full day at Alum Bay.

Today's highlights included a glass making talk and demonstration, boat trip out to see the Needles close up and finally no trip to Alum Bay is complete without a visit to the coloured sand shop.

In the evening the children had a quiz night at the hotel.

Thursday 11th May 2017

The children are enjoying a hearty breakfast before heading out to storm the battlements at Carisbrooke Castle.  I think they will notice a difference between that and Windsor Castle.

After building sandcastles on the beach in the evening - bedtime was a tad late as the children showered and washed hair to remove all the sand...there will of course be sand in their luggage for weeks to come!

Friday 12th May 2017

They have enjoyed their last breakfast together and are now packing bags and getting ready to head to Robin Hill Country Park for their last day.  It's a 16.00 ferry and then back to school  between 18.45 and 19.00. Please check the website during the day for any changes.
