We have had a busy week this week in Chestnut Class. Here are some of the things we have been doing.
We had a lovely time at the church during the Harvest Assembly. Many of the children had a part and spoke clearly with great confidence. We also enjoyed listening to the choir and joining in with all the songs. Thank you to all the family and friends who came to watch our Harvest Assembly.
We have been learning about Africa through a range of subjects including Geography, English and Music. We were very lucky as Mr and Mrs Miller came in to speak to us about Africa and show us some real African artefacts. We enjoyed sitting on the stool and pretending to be African Kings! We also learned what our names would be in Africa. Can you remember yours?
We listened to the music in the film Kirikou. Then we used different instruments and explored what noises we could make. We composed a short section of music for part of the film. It was very noisy!
